Dr. Mitch scarmardo
Dr. Mitch is a chiropractor, coach, and the founder of The Movement Lab. He holds a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Master’s degree in Strength & Human Performance from Parker University, where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class, and completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University.
With a passion for bridging the gap between rehab and performance, Dr. Mitch served as president of Rehab2Performance during chiropractic school — an organization dedicated to advancing progressive, movement-based care. Over the past four years, he has treated athletes of all levels, active individuals, and families across the DFW metroplex and College Station, delivering care that combines clinical skill with real-world strength and conditioning experience.
His approach to care is deeply informed by personal experience. After suffering a debilitating disc herniation, Dr. Mitch committed himself to learning modern rehab strategies that prioritize movement, strength, and long-term resilience. This journey inspired the philosophy behind The Movement Lab — where patients are empowered to move better, not told to stop moving.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mitch stays active through CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, and functional fitness. He is a former high school baseball player and collegiate bowler at Texas A&M, and continues to compete and coach in the CrossFit space. He is also a husband and father, and enjoys spending time with his wife Krista and their two daughters, making BBQ, and cheering on Texas A&M athletics.
Dr. Mitch is certified in:
Dry Needling
RockTape and Functional Dry Needling (FDM)
Functional Movement Systems (FMS)
CrossFit Level 1
Webster Technique (prenatal chiropractic care)
He brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, coaching experience, and personal relatability to every session — helping patients get out of pain, train smarter, and stay active for life.
